Intermediate & Advanced Throwing Class

Students now have an understanding of basic wheel throwing and are ready for more complex projects. Prior to the first day of class, students will have thought about specific projects they would like to work on. Example: “I want to make mugs,” or “I’d like to try throwing vases with fancy handles,” or “I want to create a variety of dishes for my kitchen.” Students will come prepared with a handful of sketches and be able to make a maximum of 10 pieces over the course of the class ranging from cups, mugs, bowls, vases, and jars.

Each week, students will attend one class time and will work on advancing their skills and learning new techniques as their skills develop. Students will have more freedom to work on their own, but still have an instructor present to assist with troubleshooting or instructions on new skills.
