Beginner Throwing Class

Objective

Students in this throwing class will learn basic skills on the potter's wheel. They will learn a brief history of clay, vocabulary of clay stages, functions of potter’s tools, wheel set ups, throwing techniques, how to prep or trimming, how to trim, and will result in a final class critique of greenware.

Intermediate/Advanced Throwing Class

Objective

Students in this throwing class will learn advanced skills on the potter's wheel. They will learn skills from handles to lids to shaping and beyond. Other advanced techniques may be covered, depending on the teacher and the class progress.

General Throwing Class

Objective

Students in this throwing class will learn basic to advanced skills on the potter's wheel. This class may be taken by both beginner and advanced as both skill sets will be covered, depending on the stage the student is at during class.

Registration Cost - $150

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

Registration includes: 6 classes (one per week),
25 lbs of new clay, firings, and unlimited open studio time.
